Invisalign is an innovative orthodontic treatment used to slowly push your teeth into a more ideal alignment. This clever technology works by utilising a series of clear aligners worn consistently and changed weekly. Each aligner in the series is a slightly different shape, moving the teeth gently into a new position week by week. 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Complementary consultation: The Invisalign journey begins with a detailed consultation where we’ll assess your dental needs and discuss your treatment goals. 

• Record taking: Following consultation, a series of records, 3D mouth scan, photographs and x-rays are taken and sent to Invisalign to receive the custom treatment plan. 

• Review and beginning treatment: Once we are happy with the treatment plan, the aligners are ordered and shipped, and treatment can commence within a couple of weeks.  

• Active treatment: wearing your aligners for 22 hrs a day and changing them weekly you will very quickly begin to see a shift in your smile. This active phase of treatment varies between patients and can last anywhere from 6-18months. 

• Retention: Following the active phase of treatment, retainers must be worn nightly to maintain the new position of your teeth. This is essential to prevent the teeth shifting back to their original position.
